Episode 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi takes the notch up higher, situating riveting sequences on the cyberpunk-ish planet of Daiyu while deepening the emotional stakes within Obi-Wan while introducing younger versions of beloved characters. This episode is quintessential Star Wars in the best of ways, and the ending evokes a lot of emotion, along with the full force of nostalgia.
Jonathan Widdup
Banana Meter Rating: 81%
I thought this was a big improvement compared to the previous episode. Although I thought it shared some problems. I hope for the show to get better as it goes. And I definitely expect it to, because of how this episode ended.
Matthew Fox
Banana Meter Rating: 70%
A lot will be made of the final few seconds and the excitement that will bring. I’m here to praise the way they’re showing the struggle of Obi-Wan, who spent a decade hiding who he is. The hero we love is there, and he’s starting to emerge.

Episode 2 retreads the same ground as The Mandalorian and things become slightly predictable. But damn that ending gave me chills! Goddamn chills!! It was emotional too at times. Reva is my new fav star wars character, Natalie Holt’s score is exceptional
Ricky Valero
Banana Meter Rating: 90%
Holy COW what an episode. Vivien Lyra Blair is a DELIGHT as Leia and OH MY GOODNESS THAT ENDING.
Shaurya Chawla
Banana Meter Rating: 90%
A couple of minor jittery edits aside, Episode 2 brings the action into Obi-Wan nicely, with some stunning visuals and camerawork, and one wide grin of a final shot to leave fans on until next week.
Beatrice Copland
Banana Meter Rating: 90%
The perfect follow-up to Episode 1 whilst also acting as a great hook for the rest of the series. It can be funny and dramatic but within the final few minutes may leave fans emotional.
These first 2 eps have felt like one film. And it’s great.

I guess it’s kinda bad when your supporting cast overshadows the lead in the second episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Moses Ingram steals the entire thing away from McGregor who has nothing to do here. I’m still baffled that this is the best Lucasfilm could come up with…disappointed.
