After a more than a two-year wait, Top Gun: Maverick has exceeded all expectations and soared into the danger zone, with a $124 million domestic opening, and tallied up more than $300 million during memorial day weekend, internationally. The movie is now Tom Cruise’s highest-grossing opening of his entire career, which is particularly satisfying when you consider the fact that audiences had to endure more two year of COVID-related delays.
