Then, they rate it on our scale of 0-100%, we gather the percentage from all of your critics and that’s how we get our rating on the Banana Meter.
What is the Banana Meter scale, you ask?
When a show hits above 85% or higher from our critics, it means it hit Bonafide Bananas status.
When a show hits between 55-84% or higher from our critics, it means it hit Ripe status.
When the show hits under 55%, it means it hit Sour Status.

Like a neglected Lays bag on a shelf in your local deli, Obi-Wan Kenobi doesn’t have enough of the goods to fully satisfy audiences despite having a handful of awesome moments from a distance. Ewan McGregor as expected delivers as the show’s biggest strength while the plot carries its biggest weaknesses.

As someone who was on and off on the prequels as a whole, Obi-Wan Kenobi is light years beyond anything from that era, with some of the most compelling Star Wars storytelling I’ve seen since The Clone Wars era. Come for Ewan McGregor’s great performance, and stay for Hayden Christensen’s terrifying turn as Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi should’ve been a triumphant return for beloved characters of the prequel trilogy but this show is shallow and pointless. There are some great performances to be found but there isn’t any emotional weight or reason for this story to exist.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is by far my favorite thing to come from the Star Wars prequels. It takes the story to exciting and engaging places that manage to provide intense moments despite the fact we all know where these characters will end up.

Obi-Wan although stumbled in its middle episodes redeemed itself by delivering a satisfying and a well-rounded finale. It also delivered on the promise of the epic rematch between Obi-Wan and Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi disappointed me. I wanted more out of the series, but I felt a little cheated in the end. The best part of the series is without a doubt, Ewan McGregor. The trailers made me believe that
there was going to be a cinematic quality to this show. But it feels
like a tv show.

Ultimately the series delivered on its potential. I enjoyed the stories and the way it added a nice coda to the prequels. Good work from Ewan McGreggor and a fun addition to the Star Wars canon.
