Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has enjoyed yet another profitable week at the box office, but has dropped drastically at 67% for the weekend. This means that repeat viewings aren’t as strong with this film compared with Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is one of the highest-grossing films of all time. Still, the film has amassed over $688 million at the worldwide box office in two weeks, which is very impressive, but I don’t believe that it will hit the $1 billion mark that some pundits were saying they will. Time will tell, of course, but it’s looking unlikely.
Here’s the full list of the top 10 films for the week:
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Disney/Marvel Studios): $61M (-67.5%) – 4,534 theatres
- The Bad Guys (Universal Pictures/Dreamworks Animation): $6.8M (-27.9%) – 3,788 theatres
