‘Moon Knight’ Season One
Here is what our Ripe Banana Critics are saying about the season:
Adriano Capoursso
Banana Meter Rating: 75%
Moon Knight didn’t start off on the right note but it slowly morphed into a wild and entertaining MCU outing, led by an incredible Oscar Isaac.
Gavin Spoors
Banana Meter Rating: 60%
Oscar Isaac’s entertaining performances can’t save this from being another mediocre MCU project. There are some intriguing ideas at play that are ultimately squandered by Marvel’s tendancy to play things safe.
Brian Skutle
Banana Meter Rating: 76%
Oscar Isaac turns in a fantastic duel turn as Steven Grant and Marc Spector that helps the series become an intriguing study of a man who is fractured and has to try to bring balance to his life. There are some good set pieces and visuals throughout, but it’s the psychological aspect of the show that keeps us watching.
Jonathan Widdup
Banana Meter Rating: 87%
Moon Knight is up there with Loki as one of the best Marvel shows so far, this show didn’t have one bad episode. the whole cast is great. although this show structure could be very familiar/formulaic to what we’ve seen before in these MCU shows. It also could’ve benefited from another episode or two.
Michael Thomas
Banana Meter Rating: 77%
Moon Knight is a fantastic series, but it gets in its own way like most MCU shows. It felt like it needed three more episodes to flesh out all of its ideas.
Trevor Matteson
Banana Meter Rating: 50%
Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke shine through a dully written screenplay that thinks it’s smarter than it is.
Edward Douglas
Banana Meter Rating: 80%
Another fine feather in the Marvel cap, keeping even the most stalwart fans guessing on what’s possible and what happens next. Great stuff!
Brandon Siedlik
Banana Meter Rating: 82%
Oscar Isaac is the most consistent part of the show, but I found myself more interested in the character study, thus the finale did not quite stick the landing.
